School Based Management (SBM) policy states that all students are to have an AR or Library book with them at all times. (LINK to Nimitz SBM policies). The Title I Office is currently in charge of administering the California Standars Tests (CSTs) and California Achievement Test 6 (CAT/6) in the spring. Title I also assists with the administration of the California Alternate Performance Assessment (CAPA) for Special Education students , the Physical Fitness Test (7th grade only), and the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) for 8th grade students. Title I works with the Nimitz Parent Center to provide parent trainings and LACOE sponsored classes. The Title I Office also assists with the collection and distribution of lunch applications. The office also distributes and collects all Home School Compacts as part of the Federal requirements for Compensatory Education. |
